Аннотация

This article examines the effectiveness of Content-Based Instruction (CBI) in fostering critical reading skills
among EFL learners. It explores how integrating subject-matter content with language learning tasks promotes deeper
text engagement, analytical reasoning, and interpretive ability. The study is grounded in constructivist learning theory,
which posits that learners construct meaning through contextualized interaction with authentic materials
