Ushbu maqolada mass-media vositalarining o‘z joniga qasd qilish hodisasiga ta’siri, xususan, Verter effekt
fenomeni psixologiyasi tahlil qilinadi. Verter effekti — mashhur badiiy yoki ommaviy axborot vositalarida tasvirlangan o‘z
joniga qasd qilish holatidan so‘ng yuzaga keladigan taqlidiy o‘z joniga qasd qilish to‘lqinidir. Maqolada, ommaviy axborot
vositalarining yoshlar ongiga ta’siri, taqlidiy xatti-harakatlarning yuzaga kelish mexanizmlari va psixologik oqibatlari
o‘rganiladi.
