This article examines the interaction between traditional tailoring techniques and modern approaches in the production
of national costumes within the context of cultural preservation and contemporary design development. National
costume production is considered not only as an artisanal practice but also as a cultural, aesthetic, and technological phenomenon
shaped by historical continuity and modern innovation. The study analyzes how traditional methods–such as
hand stitching, natural dyeing, embroidery, and pattern construction–are reinterpreted through the integration of modern
technologies, industrial sewing equipment, and digital design tools. The research demonstrates that the synthesis of traditional
craftsmanship and modern production approaches contributes to both the preservation of cultural identity and the
improvement of the functional, economic, and aesthetic qualities of national attire. The findings indicate that sustainable
development of national costume production depends on balanced methodological integration rather than the dominance
of either tradition or innovation alone.
