The acquisition of professional vocabulary is a critical component of philology students’ academic and professional
development. The integration of online resources into language learning has significantly transformed traditional
teaching methods by providing flexible, interactive, and contextually rich materials. This study examines the effectiveness
of various online tools and platforms–including multimedia applications, specialized dictionaries, interactive exercises,
and language-learning platforms–in enhancing the acquisition and retention of professional vocabulary. The findings
demonstrate that the structured and guided use of online resources substantially improves students’ vocabulary knowledge,
contextual understanding, and motivation to learn, while also revealing challenges such as digital distractions and
the inconsistent quality of available materials.
