The emergence and development of comparative linguoculturology as one of the major fields of modern
linguistics are analyzed. The theoretical foundations of this field are examined, and its main directions are studied from
lexicographic, phraseological, conceptual, and stylistic perspectives. Special attention is paid to the discussion of the
current scientific status of this field and the views of leading scholars such as I. Sternin, V. Vorobyov, and G. Alimjonova.
The necessity of comparative analysis for identifying the national specificity of linguistic worldviews is substantiated, as
well as its practical significance for improving bilingual dictionaries and methods of foreign language teaching
