Аннотация

This article examines the formation and historical development of terminology as a scientific discipline. The
study analyzes the scientific and technological factors that influenced the evolution of terminological systems during
the eighteenth and twentieth centuries. Special attention is paid to the relationship between terminology and linguistics,
international standardization processes, and the contribution of scholars such as Eugen Wüster and Dmitry Lotte to terminology
theory.
