This article systematizes proposals and recommendations aimed at eliminating existing problems and shortcomings
in the teaching of musical-historical and theoretical disciplines, as well as improving the quality of education.
The conclusions are based on the results of a study focused on enhancing the content, essence, methods, and
teaching approaches of musical-historical and theoretical subjects within the educational process of children’s music
and art schools. The implementation of these proposals contributes to increasing students’ professional competence and
ensuring the effectiveness of the educational process
