Motivating teachers to engage in innovative activities is critical for creating a sustainable and dynamic educational
environment. This study explores the psychological and pedagogical foundations of teacher motivation; alongside
the challenges they face in adopting new teaching methods. Employing qualitative and quantitative methods, including
surveys, interviews, and literature analysis, the research identifies key strategies to effectively encourage teachers’ participation
in innovative practices. The findings highlight the importance of balancing intrinsic and extrinsic motivators, with
professional development programs playing a pivotal role in overcoming resistance to change. The study concludes with
recommendations for educational policymakers and administrators in Uzbekistan to implement motivational strategies
that foster teachers’ professional growth and innovation.
